With a population just under a million, Pima County is Arizona's second largest county. The County Seat (with most of the population) is Tucson, Arizona.
The County is in South Central Arizona and shares a long international border with Sonora, Mexico.
The county was named for the Pima Tribe (Akimel O'odham).
Major thoroughfares include I10 and I19.
Attractions in the county include Ironwood Forest, Saguaro National Park, ORgan Pipe Cactus National Monument, Coronado National Forest along with the Buenos Aires & Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife areas.
